The Highland Journey
Every Croft & Coast luxury Scottish hamper begins its journey from our boatyard studio in the Northwest Highlands. Because we work with remote, small-scale producers and handle delicate artisan food and drink, including carefully curated spirits, our dispatch process is meticulously planned to ensure your items arrive in perfect condition.
The Art of Gifting
As the majority of our curations are sent as gifts, we never include pricing, invoices, or financial documentation within the parcel. Your recipient will only find their beautifully presented items and, if you have chosen to include one, your personal handwritten gift message.
METICULOUS CARE
THE DISPATCH PROCESS
To protect the integrity of our fresh and chilled produce, we currently deliver our Scottish food gifts exclusively within the United Kingdom. We operate a straightforward, flat-rate delivery structure based on the weight and dimensions of your parcel. Complimentary delivery is applied to all curations over [Insert Price]. To ensure a secure journey, we entrust our parcels to Royal Mail’s Tracked 24 and Tracked 48 services, occasionally utilising Parcelforce for larger or heavier collections.
Because our hampers often contain premium chilled and perishable goods, we strongly recommend downloading the courier’s app to nominate a "Safe Place" or a trusted neighbour should the recipient not be at home. While our packaging is designed to keep items cool during transit, perishable goods should be refrigerated as soon as possible upon arrival.
Gifts containing alcohol may only be purchased by, and delivered to, persons over the age of 18. In accordance with UK law, our couriers operate a 'Challenge 25' policy and may request photographic identification upon delivery. Please ensure the recipient is aware of this requirement to avoid any delay in receiving their gift.
Our Highland location is the soul of our provenance, but it does mean the journey south takes a little time. If you have a specific occasion in mind, you may request a preferred delivery date at checkout. We will consult with our courier network and dispatch your curation to arrive as close to this date as possible.
Please note that due to the realities of Highland logistics, exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. To protect your goods, we dispatch Monday through Friday. We will never dispatch chilled or fresh produce over a weekend to prevent items from resting in courier depots.
We are immensely proud of our remote Highland provenance, but it does mean we are occasionally at the mercy of the Scottish weather. In the rare event of severe snow or storms causing courier network suspensions, we will be in contact with you. While we cannot be held liable for delays caused by extreme weather or "force majeure" events, we will always manage the situation with the utmost care to ensure your gift arrives safely.
Because we source from independent crofters and artisan smokehouses rather than mass-market factories, corporate gifting and volume hamper orders naturally require a longer lead time to prepare. If you are commissioning multiple hampers, we will discuss production timelines with you personally during your consultation to ensure every detail meets our uncompromising standards.
To ensure a seamless arrival, we ask that you carefully verify the delivery address at checkout. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels delayed or lost due to incorrect details.
Once your curation leaves our studio, we will provide you with full tracking details so you can follow its journey. While we trust our courier network implicitly, peak seasons and Highland weather can occasionally cause holdups. Should you notice an exceptional delay on your tracking, please reach out to us directly. We will immediately step in to liaise with the courier on your behalf and find a mutually agreeable solution.
Once the courier has successfully delivered the parcel to your specified address or designated safe place, the curation is yours to enjoy, and the risk of loss or damage passes to you.
